Jared Wollitz

About Councilman Wollitz

Councilman Wollitz was born in 1980 in Jacksonville, Florida, and has been living in the Hilliard area for 40 years. He and his wife, Lori, have one son together. In addition to serving on the Town Council, Councilman Wollitz is a fireman for the Jacksonville Fire Department. He has an AS in Emergency Medical Services Technology and is also certified as a Paramedic. His favorite hobby is scuba diving but he also enjoys running and being outside in the Florida sun! He is passionate about people and building community. 

Councilman Wollitz was elected to the Town Council in November of 2016 and has served since January of 2017. His favorite thing about living in Hilliard is the simplicity and safety of our community. He became a Council member to make the Town of Hilliard a better place. When asked what is one thing he hopes to accomplish during his time on Council, Councilman Wollitz stated "one thing is hard to isolate. Every year brings new challenges for the Council." One piece of advice he has for young people growing up in a small town is to "dream big and work hard".
