John Beasley
About Mayor Bealsey
Mayor John Beasley was born in 1964 in Montgomery, Alabama, and he is named after the the former Governor of Alabama (John Patterson). He moved to Florida 55 years ago and has been living in the Hilliard area ever since. He and his wife, Donna, have two children. In addition to serving as the Town of Hilliard's Mayor, Mayor Beasley is the District Manager for the Florida Lottery. His favorite hobby is attending auctions to see what goodies he can find. He is passionate about the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life.
Mayor Beasley was elected to the Town Council in November of 2000 and has served since January of 2001. His favorite thing about living in Hilliard is the small town feel and being out of the madness of larger cities. He became a Council Member because he wanted to give back to the community. Before he leaves the Council, he hopes to have a Hurricane Shelter approved and built. One piece of advice he has for young people growing up in a small town is to "get involved and not sit on the sidelines waiting for other people to get things done".
